The Android-based A100 is powered by the same Honeycomb operating system as its big brother the A500, but with a price tag of $330 for the 8 GB model or $350 for a 16 GB version, the A100 offers many of the same features as the A500 at a lower cost. Proper support of the second screen was integrated in the 3.2-rc6 version of the Linux kernel, making it available for the 3.2 release in December 2011.The long-awaited Iconia Tab A100 made its debut in August 2011. Specifications Īcer Iconia is equipped with a 640 GB hard drive, and has four gigabytes of RAM. The Iconia is also to operate Acer programs for accessing multimedia and other content, including Alive, a program for downloading content such as music, videos and application, and Clear.Fi, designed to enable content to be shared among multiple devices over the internet.
